page 1/2 Early Japan (until 710) During the Jomon Aeon (13000 BC to 300 BC), the citizenry of the Japanese islands were gatherers, fishers and hunters. Jomon is the name of the era's pottery. During the Yayoi Aeon (300 BC to 300 AD), the rice ability was alien into Japan about 100 BC. With the addition of agriculture, amusing classes started to evolve, and genitalia of the country began to affiliate beneath able acreage owners. Chinese travellers during the Han and Wei dynasties appear that a queen alleged Himiko (or Pimiku) reigned over Japan at that time. The period's name comes from the ample tombs (kofun) that were congenital for the political leaders of that era. Yamato Japan continued from Kyushu to the Kinai plain, but did not yet accommodate the Kanto, Tohoku and Hokkaido.
